This month of March we focus on the importance of health in our community. The Go Red for Women® Venture Fund makes high-potential investments that foster innovation, advancing women’s health in every stage of life.
For the last few years I have worked closely with Syngenta here in Greensboro on a variety of their photography needs. This has been a wonderful group of business people and community leaders to work with here in the Triad of North Carolina. I recently captured two events for them to help promote the Go Red campaign in conjunction with the American Heart Association. These events were a big success and well attended by the employees and other people that were invited to the functions.
The main goal of these events was to bring awareness to the Go Red campaign and generate donations to the American Heart Association for research and other important elements around health! Check out some of my favorite images captured last week on site at Syngenta's new Greensboro HQ.
One of my favorite catering companies here in town assisted with the event. 1618 On-Location provided some wonderful finger foods that were passed around as well as some delicious mocktails all of which were heart healthy inspired items. Throughout the event people were also able to donate to the cause and write the name of a loved one on a paper heart which will be displayed all over the building to remember all the important people that were and or have been effected by heart disease.
The head of corporate communication, Kathy Eichlin and her team have been major advocates for this campaign and wanted to share some information Kathy provided me last week. That way you can learn more and even provide a donation by clicking the DONATE button below.
As a champion for The American Heart Association's 2025 Triad Go Red for Women movement's Women of Impact campaign and the Syngenta Joyful Hearts Team, I am deeply committed to honoring the memory of my Dad and close friends who succumbed to heart conditions. I am profoundly grateful for the unwavering support of my family, friends, and colleagues at Syngenta—both male and female—who share my dedication to raising awareness about cardiovascular health and promoting prevention strategies in our community.
It is imperative to recognize that cardiovascular disease does not discriminate; it can affect anyone at any time and remains the leading cause of death among women, claiming more lives than ever before. Through fostering education and mutual support, we can ensure that all women have the opportunity to lead longer, healthier lives.
Our collective efforts are focused on bringing joy and hope while paying tribute to those we've lost and celebrating the resilience of survivors. Together, we can engage more women in research and testing, make a significant impact on heart health awareness, and improve lives throughout our community.
As we embrace "JOY" as our guiding word for 2025, we invite everyone to join us in going red. Let us unite in this vital cause, working towards a future where cardiovascular health is a priority for all.
The time for action is now. Will you stand with us in this crucial mission? To support our Joyful Hearts campaign with the Syngenta Joyful Hearts, please click the Donate button.
