The Bourbon Bowl is set to open its door in the next few weeks and I had the privilege to photograph their space and showcase the amazing out door patio section and interior bar and bowling ally area. This is sure to be a great addition to downtown Greensboro. The design was created by the talented Lori Hawkins who is a long standing landscape architect here in North Carolina and she brought in many talented vendors to bring this space to fruition.
I have captured many residential and commercial projects for Lori and this one was certainly one of my favorites. I arrived onsite around 7pm to photograph some day time images and shot through dusk to document all the intricate lighting components and fire feature. The entire camera bag was put to use on this project to achieve a lot of interesting angles by using a 24-70MM, 14MM and a 105MM Macro lens.
This new bar/restaurant concept is located at the corner of S Elm St and Lewis St. It was an old antique store for many years and was recently purchased and gutted in order to make this cool space! The developer was also able to keep a lot of the original materials of the space such as brick, the ceilings and floor tiles to have it be a great old meets new sort of feel.
The weather was perfect that night for the photos which includes a few scattered clouds for interest and a nice sunset, which allowed me to shoot some of the evening images on long exposure settings to showcase the fire feature and all the exterior lighting that makes the space pop!
Vendors who made this space come to reality =
Hawkins Landscape Architecture / Paul Talley- developer (Bourbon Bowl LLC) / Fourth Elm Construction / Southern Exposure & Southern Lights / Mattco Metalworks / Signature Aquatics / Fire by Design / Planters Unlimited / Crystal Fountains / Micciche Photography
