The GAA Classic Cars auction took place last month and I had the privilege of photographing the most impressive segment of cars going across the block for auction. The biggest sale of the multi-day event took place Saturday afternoon. The 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 sold for $300,000. Check out this month's feature blog post about this awesome Greensboro based event!
I have worked with the team at GAA Classic Cars for about a year and a half and it has been a blast to photograph. I've enjoyed having access to the entire facility and VIP viewing area to capture all the action on the auction block. This past show was certainly an impressive event and there were hundreds of cars being auctioned every few minutes.
There was a stretch of premier Mustangs and Pontiacs that were top priority for me to capture and I was near the action with a wide angle lens. I also got some great vantage points behind the auctioneers and up in the VIP viewing box.
The shows occur every few months here in Greensboro at the massive show room off Norwalk Street. Buyers of these old and new cars come from all over, but buyers are also able to purchase via phone as well. Special event photography is a favorite niche market of mine and I continue to serve the greater Triad area of North Carolina.
